Tom Deryckere

Tom Deryckere was born in Ghent, Belgium on August 25th, 1981. In July 2004, he received the M. Sc. degree in electrical engineering with the specialisation of micro- and optoëlectronics from Ghent University (Belgium) and Institut National Polytechnique in Grenoble (France). The same year he started as a research engineer at the IBBT / Ghent University where he worked as research engineer in the field of interactive media (iDTV, DVB-H). He participated in and initiated several national media related projects and is currently project coördinator within the Wireless & Cable research group. His research interests are interactive applications, webtechnoglogy, personalisation and recommendation systems, semantic web and user experiences. He is currently project coördinator in the WiCa Research group.
