The SEAWave Web Service for Exposure Estimation (the “Service”) is developed within the framework of the project SEAWave funded by the European Union. The Service provides access to a research software module (the “Software Module”) designed for scientific, demonstration, and informational purposes.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the following Terms of Use (“Terms”).
The Service is provided for research, educational, and informational purposes. It enables users to run a software module developed within the SEAWave project in order to generate model-based outputs.
The Service is made available as part of the project’s dissemination and exploitation activities in accordance with Horizon Europe Grant Agreement obligations.
Subject to these Terms, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited license to access and use the Service for lawful, non-commercial purposes.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no rights are granted to download, reproduce, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit the underlying Software Module, source code, models, algorithms, or datasets.
All intellectual property rights remain the property of the project beneficiaries or their licensors.
The Service constitutes a research tool.

Outputs generated by the Service are indicative and research-based. They must not be used as the sole basis for decisions involving safety, regulatory compliance, commercial deployment, or legal claims.
The Service and Software Module are provided “as is” and “as available.”

The European Commission or the SEAWave consortium are not responsible for any use that may be made of the information or results generated through the Service.

If the Service processes personal data, such processing shall be carried out in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
Users are responsible for ensuring that any data they input into the Service complies with applicable legal requirements.
The Service is developed within a Horizon Europe project and may be subject to open science and dissemination obligations under the Grant Agreement.
Where applicable, specific components may be made available under open-source licenses. Such components will be clearly identified and governed by their respective license terms.
Except where explicitly indicated, no transfer of intellectual property rights is granted through use of the Service.
The project beneficiaries reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without prior notice.
These Terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Unless otherwise required by mandatory law, these Terms shall be governed by the national law of the coordinating beneficiary’s country. Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of that country.
